The story of UMBRA began in 1979. Co-founders Les Mandelbaum and Paul Rowan recognized that there was a need to create contemporary designs that were accessible both in terms of price and value. Based in Toronto, Canada, Umbra (Latin for "shadow"), has become a global leader in product design and currently distributes to more than 120 countries worldwide with offices in Europe, Canada, the United States, Brazil and China.
